After many years of amateur work in electronics, the founder, Mr. Zdenko Pavić, decided to face a new challenge and gather experts in the field of electronics in this part of the EU. Seeing how the golden age of electronics in the Republic of Croatia had long since passed, very few people were interested in this type of work.

However, in the year 2001, when Promatis was founded, many young people, experts in the field of electronics development and production, started working towards a common goal, to be a team which will develop complicated, modern, and yet fun electronic devices – from the idea to the finished product.

As the demand for experts grew, they gathered people from several EU countries who wanted to live and do such complex work. These people had previously worked in big international companies in which they acquired valuable experience and knowledge from many EU countries. Thus Promatis became a multinational, multicultural small company.

They started with their own production as early as 2005. Today the company works on development in these fields:

• Automotive industry,

• Telecommunications, and

• Consumer electronics.

Today Promatis develops and produces devices which are recognized throughout the EU. They pride in good relations with US companies, and are especially glad for progressing relations with Japan.
